I am a retired physicist
I have 40+ years experience in the aerospace / defense industry
I consult mostly in Thin Film / High Vacuum Technology

For the past 7 years (since retiring) I have been working as a Technical Editor, helping non-native-English speakers and ESL authors polish their manuscripts for publication in English-language journals.

As a Technical Editor,
I specialize in correcting problems with English grammar, style, etc. for non-native speakers; also, in proofreading scientific articles, journal submissions, etc., and verifying their scientific clarity, readability, and logical coherence.
I can also format articles to meet the submission requirements of major peer-reviewed scientific journals in either American English or British English.
My basic rate = $50 per 1000 words (or fraction thereof) for basic editing and proofreading, plus $0.04 for each additional word; however, this can be adjusted up or down, depending on the complexity of the text and the amount of editing required.

I also offer tutoring at the high-school and university level in Physics
as well as certain other branches of Engineering and Materials Science.
Rate = $40 per hour.

I occasionally do some custom design, construction, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, including the repair of vintage, tube-type radio equipment.
